Mildmay Uganda (MUg), formerly Mildmay International in Uganda, is a national Non-Governmental Organization established in Uganda in 1998 as a Centre of Excellence for provision of comprehensive HIV & AIDS prevention, care, treatment and training services. Sudan Department of Immigration had installed a total of 39 units of FingerTec R2 to cover approximately 4500 workers at the public service complexes under Ministry of Interior Affairs at the capital, Khartoum. All the workers are stationed around the complexes serving citizens with multi-services related to issuing of passport, ID card, vehicle registration, and more.

King Fahd Military Medical Complex, acronym KFMMC is a the most modern medical institution for the armed forces. This hospital with an area of 500,000sq meters, located in the city of Dammam has specialized departments including nephology, kidney transplants, vascular surgery, specialty clinics etc. The hospital also has a helicopter air strip located close to the ER entrance for transferring emergency cases from around the land.

Established in 1953, Caisse Nationale de Sécurité Sociale (CNSS) is an insurance provider in the Republic of Djibouti, CNSS provides a wide range of insurance from Universal Health Insurance, Compulsory Health Insurance, Social Health Assistant insurance and Student Health insurance. CNSS covers a population of 300,000 individuals with a staff of 120 people.
 
With 120 staff in their workforce, managing access control and time attendance proved to be a big challenge for CNSS. Recognizing this, CNSS wanted a system that would provide automation in those two areas. CNSS consulted with Sansfilnet Hitec, FingerTec‘s authorized reseller in Djibouti to implement a solution to address their challenge. Upon consultation, Sansfilnet Hitec deployed 15 units of Face ID 2 for CNSS. Going with Biometrics for access control and time attendance means that CNSS need not to worry about fake and inaccurate attendance clocking such as buddy-punching, it also means that all time attendance data recorded will be automatically in their system, and security of premises will be strengthened.
 
More than an institution in charge of social security management, CNSS describes their mission as “to ensure the social welfare of affiliates, which reflect the state of mind of the management”. In January 2017, Taysseer Alsharq Trading Services of Saudi Arabia has successfully deployed Face ID 2 terminals in the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs of Alsyah Provinces in Saudi Arabia.
 
The Ministry made a decision to switch from a hand-punch technology to face recognition to take advantage of the contactless nature of the Face ID 2 for the a convenience of their employees. With Face ID 2, a staff only needs to look at the camera and be verified almost instantly. The capacity of 1200 face templates is more than enough to cater to the Ministry’s requirements, and this terminal presents various types of communication methods including TCP/IP and USB, plus it comes complementary with Ingress management software. Prince Sultan Military Medical City in Saudi Arabia is one of the most advanced medical centres in Medina. Located 20 kilometers from the city center and easily accessible to the general population. The Medical Center was officiated by King Khalid bin Abdulaziz in December 1978 and since then the center has grown tremendously to accommodate the growing population and their needs, and to further enhance the quality of patient care. It now contains a capacity of about 1200 beds and a workforce of more than 1000 employees.
 
In August 2016, the hospital was looking to switch its employee time and attendance system from manual to automatic using biometrics technology. Upon consultation from FingerTec’s major distributor in Saudi Arabia, ITQAN Fingerprint Co., Prince Sultan Military Hospital chose to deploy 35 units of FingerTec AC100C to administer the hospital employees’ attendance.

Solomon Islands Visitor Bureau Installed Ingressus for Security

The bureau carries out activities and dispenses interesting information to entice visitors from the world over to these exotic islands that have many remnants of the world war history.
 
In October 2016, through M Cube Technology Ltd., FingerTec’s reseller, Solomon Islands Visitor Bureau’s (SIVB) offices were installed with FingerTec biometrics access control system to heighten the security of the main offices located in the capital city. SIVB deploys FingerTec Ingressus and R2c on all main doors to make sure that only authorized personnel are permitted access to SIVB offices. According to M Cube, “They are happy to have biometrics system implemented because now they don’t have to worry about unauthorized access because audit trails can be monitored from the system.”
 
Ingressus is a FingerTec controller that can control access to multiple doors. With Ingressus, only slave devices like R2c are required for a complete biometrics solution because all the controls are shifted to the controller instead of on the biometrics terminals. Brother Industries Philippines (BIPH) Integrates Q2i with Access Control System for Better Security
 
Brother Industries (Philippines), Inc. was established in March 2012 as a subsidiary of Brother Industries, Ltd. to fulfill the increasing demands of the printing business. The company produces three major printer-related products, which are the cartridge for inkjet printer, tape of label printer and printer main body. Brother Industries’ factories are located at the First Philippine Industrial Park in Tanauan City, Batangas; they house more than 5000 employees.

In partnership with Fujitsu Philippines Inc., Calvelo Engineered Systems Corporation had delivered BIPH with advanced access control system integrated with 35 units of FingerTec Q2i to provide the end users with the security system that complies with their corporate requirements. The Q2i's were installed at the turnstiles to control access to the premise efficiently.

According to Mr Jonathan Belo from Calvelo, “For this project, we are using two different brands of biometric terminals in our factory at Brother Philippines. From our observation, FingerTec Q2i reads fingerprint incomparably faster than the other brand that we have in our factory 2. The speed is essential for our operation because we have almost 5000 employees going in and out the doors each day. With the fast reading capability of Q2i, the movement of employees on secured door is smoother than ever”.

SunCon Subscribes to TimeTec TA for Effective Construction Workers Management

With its team of qualified engineers and state-of-the-art technologies, SunCon leverages its VDC technology to propel itself to fulfill its vision which to be a leading construction group providing world-class competitive products and services that enhance stakeholders’ values.

In the middle of 2016, they started looking for a solution to manage their extensive workforce in multiple branches around Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. The system must be able to have a live view of multiple location data and sync hardware data remotely without having someone to go over the site to do it. Basically, SunCon were looking for an affordable cloud-based biometrics time and attendance system and stumbled upon TimeTec TA from their research in the Internet.

 
Starting 1st October 2016, SunCon deploys FingerTec TA100C GPRS and TA100C Wifi with TimeTec TA cloud-software at four sites namely Putrajaya Parcel F, Damansara LRT, Serdang LRT, and the Sungai Buloh office. They are using the system for a total of 2100 users and they forecast the number to increase to 5,000 users in the future depending on the projects they engage in. The system is being used to record daily time attendance data of their construction workers at those sites. SunCon prefers fingerprint solution because of its honesty factor and choosing other option like Time Beacon in TimeTec TA is not feasible because most construction workers don’t have smartphones and those who have wouldn’t carry one onsite. However, if there is a problem with any of the biometrics terminals, the TimeTec TA supervisor clocking can be used to solve the problem.
 
The project was not free from challenges and one of the problems is the absence of Internet connection on some sites. To solve it, we suggested GPRS terminals and installation of broadband for SunCon. The next challenge involved more than 2,000 users to be uploaded to the system and downloaded to selected terminals. The process took some time and prompted TimeTec Research and Development team to customize some features to make the process easier. Overall, the installation of FingerTec and TimeTec TA has been a flagship project for TimeTec TA in 2016 and we are proud to say that the installation was a success and we are looking forward to having more users in the system in 2017 and beyond.
