FingerTec in Healthcare Chain of UAE
From its inception in 1975, NMC Healthcare has evolved into an integrated healthcare company with a wide network of hospitals, medical centres, and pharmacies across the UAE. Over the years, NMC Healthcare has earned reputation as a world-class medical institution synonymous with genuine care, concern and commitment.

The NMC Group has many offices, medical centers, hospitals etc. across the UAE. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, the Human Resource department wanted a centralized attendance and overtime report to be available whenever required in the HQ. The challenge was that they have many offices spread across UAE. The hospitals and the HQ hold the majority number of staff, whereas in other locations, the staff was less. Rotating shifts within the healthcare centers and hospitals were also a factor to take into account when implementing this system.

 
 
As the scale of the installation was going to be vast, Q-Line, the local dealer of the main distributor, which is Magnum Connect, suggested a pilot run on few departments where they provided TA103TC and connected them to the TCMS V2 software through VPN. They customized the TCMS V2 reports to be integrated via 3rd party with their existing payroll system ERP. At the success of the 2-week pilot, Q-Line then proceeded to install all 45 units of the TA103TC in the first 5 centers of the NMC within Abu Dhabi. This was just the first stage; the 2nd and 3rd stages of installations are due to start in the coming year, with a total of up to 200 units to be installed within the entire NMC group in UAE.

Magnum Connect was appointed as the official distributor of FingerTec items in the UAE since 2010. Based in Dubai, the company has appointed several dealers such as Q-Line locally to represent them in the different emirates of the UAE.

Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) is the premier non-profit healthcare provider in Qatar. Founded in 1979, HMC has rapidly developed medical facilities capable of providing advanced diagnosis and treatment of diseases that previously could only be managed in overseas medical institutions and faculties.
 
As all hospital environments, the Al Wakra branch of Hamad Medical Corporation found themselves spending too much effort on keeping track of their staff attendance and payroll. After consulting several firms, they came to us at World Connection for a solution to automate the attendance of their employees. A few discussions later, we decided that the best system for them to use would be FingerTec TA200 Plus together with the TCMS V2 software. The units were installed, and the relevant personnel managing the system were put through a training session to learn how to use the system.

We find that a lot of our clients, including the Al Wakra branch of HMC, are very pleased with terminals produced by FingerTec, as they are localized in the Arabic language and format and has a very large variety of features through their software. Our implementation doesn’t just stop here, however. One of our biggest and most ambitious master facility plans, which includes building and equipping three state-of-the-art hospitals and a research center will be soon be delivered by World Connection at Hamad Medical City, and we have our fingers crossed!

Now, the Central Bank of Iraq is equipped with another lot of i-Kiosk 100 Plus devices, with at least 1 device on each floor, and one unit installed outside of the bank for verification of guards and other employees who are constantly on the go. As a result, the staff takes a shorter time to verify their attendance, which reduces congestion during the start and end of working hours. Training was conducted for those who will be using the system, and more importantly for those who will be administrating and overseeing the system, to teach them how to perform the basic functions, generate and analyze reports, and conduct a few troubleshooting steps.

Le Meridien is one of the world’s renowned hotel companies, with a portfolio of more than 100 luxury and upscale hotels in over 50 countries worldwide. Recently, FingerTec products caught the eye of the Le Meridien in Lagos, Nigeria as a time attendance solution for their hotel.
 
 
It all began during one the largest security shows in Africa, the IFSEC West Africa 2012. The event itself was held in the Le Meridien Hotel, and while making their rounds in the exhibition, the management staff of the hotel spotted Rapid Vigil’s booth, which offered total attendance and access solutions. Being in a hotel industry, many of the employees in the hotel work within specified shifts, to ensure that the hotel services function round-the-clock. Currently the hotel was using the manual time punch cards to sort out their staff attendance.

2012 for FingerTec USA has been an eventful one, having achieved goals we set in our milestones, and securing a number of prestigious installations along the way. Bioequipamientos, our FingerTec reseller in Peru, was involved in the implementation of an access system in Naviera Transoceánica S.A.C. The FingerTec installation was completed in May of this year in the office of Naviera Transoceánica S.A.C. at Edificio Macros in Lima, Peru. The entrances of the office were equipped with FingerTec H2i, while the exit readers were the i-Kiosk 100. It was requested by the client that the installation be made this way as they required the use of the function keys on the i-Kiosk 100 for event logging and intermediate exits.
 
The installation was performed on the two double-doors of the office which were made of tempered glass. Mr. Luis Sanchez, the General Manager of Bioequipamientos, mentioned that the installation was a little tricky since the office architecture was designed like a boat-like structure, meaning that most of its surface consisted of wood veneer. However, their technicians managed to make it an impeccable installation and that the elegant and striking colors of the i-Kiosk 100 screen reader helped much, as it went well with the design of the office.

To date, the FingerTec H2i and i-Kiosk 100 devices have presented no problems and the system works perfectly. With the help of the TCMS V2, the shipping company can now easily process the attendance and whereabouts of their staff, which is rather helpful in an industry which requires a lot of staff mobility. Mr. Sanchez continued to add that Naviera Transoceánica S.A. plans to install FingerTec across its fleet of merchant ships to control its staff assistance at sea sometime in the future.

Omnisport Updates FingerTec Models for Use with TimeTec
Since Omnisport was founded in 1954, its name has become synonymous with quality, experience and strength as well as specialized customer care. To date it has 35 stores nationwide. Managing the best of international brands, Omnisport is the only store in El Salvador to have a Sony Center as part of their showroom.

In 2007, Omnisport had TA102 terminals installed in their main office. With Grupo Ejje’s assistance, Omnisport was informed that there were newly launched and more modern FingerTec models and new TCMS V2 updates that could upgrade the time attendance system they were using not only in the main office but also in their other branches as well.

Konsortium Logistics Berhad was incorporated 25 years ago as a container haulage company with a modest fleet of 15 prime movers and 60 trailers serving only the northern states of Peninsula Malaysia. Recognizing the growing demand for logistics services in the region, KLB then expanded its operations to serve the Port Klang region, and now is one of the leading integrated logistics service providers offering a complete range of solutions in automotive, government, industrial manufacturing, and so on.

Having used a traditional punch card system for the past years, Konsortium Logistics Berhad decided it was time to update their system to a more automated one. This is where Bumi Engineering And Consultancy Sdn. Bhd. came into the picture.

FingerTec Replaces Card System in Steel Manufacturer
Galvanissa, a company under Grupo Ferromax, is the number one corporation selling iron and ceilings in Central America, with their superior quality brand and innovative service. Galvanissa distributes exclusively under its specialized chain called Megaservicios and its branches throughout the region.

Before implementing FingerTec, Galvanissa utilized a card marking system which immensely complicated personnel time and attendance management. At Grupo Ejje’s suggestion, they signed on the project of replacing the card system with FingerTec biometric terminals, at a stage-by-stage plan to avoid major interruption in HR processing.

The IT Manager and HR Manager from Kempinski were looking for a time attendance system to be implemented, to ease staff monitoring and payroll calculations. Getting recommendations from our resellers, JDS and Sky Software, the Kempinski Hotel Management decided to follow these recoomendations and employed us at Euro Jordan Trading Co. to implement FingerTec’s facial recognition system, the Face ID 2.

Vietnamese Bank Installed with R2 and Kadex
Habubank founded in 1989, is one of Vietnam’s largest and successful investment bank. All together, 25 readers were installed by Futech, all in strategic entry points of the staff at Habubank. They preferred to use another software specialized to the banking industry to retrieve and monitor the records, however, and Futech assisted in this by linking and centralizing the FingerTec devices using the provided SDK with the iWach Pro 3.0 software.

Bank and Café System Implemented by TecNet Angola
Banco BIC headquarters.
Banco BIC is a privately owned Angolan bank, consisting of domestic and foreign investors. They are an institution that seeks to cover the national market retail, and also devote themselves as a privileged partner in Angolan business. The expertise of their staff is based on more than 30 years of banking experience in Angola, thus constituting a team of specialized professionals, dedicated and qualified for the national market as well as in the international arena.

In September 2011, the TecNet Angola won the tender to implement the time attendance system at one of the largest banks in Angola, the Banco BIC. The contract involved 140 units of AC100C, FingerTec’s multimedia colour time attendance terminal. The implementation began with 75 agencies in Luanda.

TecNet Angola quickly implemented the system to the Banco BIC agencies in Luanda, however they noticed a few hiccups when it came to power sourcing, compatibility of fingerprint templates and compatibility of FingerTec’s data with other systems. However those problems were swiftly managed and solved by TecNet Angola, and by the end of 2011, TecNet was asked to create a system with the terminals that would be able to record each Banco BIC's employee's consumption in the restaurant of the bank's headquarters.

TecNet Angola then implemented a software system that operates in line with the AC100C terminal to verify consumption by each employee. This software then exports data collected by FTDP to a third party application, thus automatically deducting the total restaurant consumption from the wages of employees.
 
With the launching of TimeTec, the powerful web-based solution for automated Time & Attendance to suit most businesses, Waldemar d’Orey, the General Manager of TecNet Angola, said he was glad he opted for a color screen model like AC100C as the model is able to support TimeTec. Banco BIC has looked into using TimeTec in the near future.

"At this point we have reached the number of units initially indicated in the contract. Now implementation is expected to reach 200 branches throughout Angola. It's been a very interesting work that has allowed us to travel across the country and know this beautiful country that has a quite heterogeneous geography," added Waldemar when asked about the status of the project.

Sunway Quarry Industries Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the conglomerate, is one of the leading quarry operators in the country with seven integrated quarry and crushing plants around the nation. Toyota in Sydney Uses TimeTec for Attendance Management
Needless of an introduction, Toyota Motor Corporations is one of the world's largest vehicle manufacturer. Toyota conducts its business in over 170 countries worldwide, and Australia is just one of them. Now, Sydney City Toyota, Toyota Japan’s flagship dealership for Australia, has implemented FingerTec terminals and TimeTec Web for and efficient and automated time and attendance management system.
 
Spread over 4 sites in Sydney City and with over 290 employees, managing time and attendance for Sydney City Toyota has previously been a challenge. And with nearly 40 managers in over 20 departments requiring the ability to manage the time and attendance for the staff within their Toyota and Lexus dealership, Sydney City Toyota looked to FingerTec Australia to provide a solution through their partner Unipay Australia. Unipay Australia, the leading payroll software choice for new car dealerships, then partnered with FingerTec Australia to provide a complete Time & Attendance and Payroll solution for Sydney City Toyota.

Over 11 TA200 plus and TA103 terminals are now located throughout the 4 sites in Sydney City to make it easy for employees to clock on/off for work. All terminals are TimeTec enabled and transmit the time and attendance data in real-time to the TimeTec Web server. And with the password login feature on TimeTec Web, all 40 managers were given the ability to simultaneously login to the FingerTec Time & Attendance system and manage their employee’s work hours easily.

Once the weekly time and attendance data has been collected and calculated in TimeTec Web, the Payroll Officer in Toyota can easily export the data from TimeTec in the Unipay Australia format to integrate it with the software.
 
FingerTec TA200 Plus will be installed in several branches throughout Sydney.
The project is currently at its beginning phase, with further expansion of FingerTec and TimeTec implementation being planned for in the coming months. Future integration will take place in the next 6-12 months with additional TA200 Plus terminals being added to the Service Department’s mechanic’s bays, enabling Toyota mechanics to clock on/off Repair Orders.

This job-costing integration is made possible thanks to the real-time data transfer of TimeTec Web online attendance solution by FingerTec and the common MySQL database that TimeTec Web utilizes. We hope to secure more clients with this type of integration in the future, after securing and completing a powerful reference such as Toyota.

 
FingerTec Installed in Vietnam National Cinema Center
The National Cinema Centre (NCC) in Hanoi is a familiar address for those who love cinema and keeping up with the latest movies in the capital city. The NCC does not only show the latest released movies, it is also a venue for premieres, local and international film festivals, and also contains an arcade entertainment center for those who can’t get enough of gaming.
 
The NCC is a large building which is run and maintained by almost 200 part-time and full-time staff. To cater to large events, the parking area of the building also has to be capable of holding many visitors and movie lovers alike, a criteria that is met by their large underground and outdoor parking areas.

The management of NCC was interested to improve their current staff management and parking management using some automated card access control devices. Prior to this, they were using a manual time card punch method to record staff attendance, while their parking system was all manually handled, which became extremely tedious especially during an event where a visitor loses or accidentally tears a ticket.

We at Futech Technology JSC, proposed a system that would cover both staff and parking management which they gladly welcomed. As of now, the management section of the building has been installed with 14 sets of FingerTec Kadex & i-Kadex which are centralized with the TCMS V2 software while the parking area of the building has been installed with a system consisting of 6 pieces of Kadex, 24 units of fixed-box cameras, and 6 computers installed with Futech’s iParking software to monitor and manage the system. With the TCMS V2, the management can now easily generate reports and integrate their payroll processes to save time, plus the security and restrictions of both the offices and parking areas have been significantly improved.
 
“The implementation of this system has really saved the NCC a lot of time and money. Previously, the parking area of the building would have a traffic jam at the 10-lane exit due to the manual parking ticket checking process. Now 6 lanes is all they need for a smooth-running exit with the help of the automatic number plate recognition system,” mentioned Mr. Bùi Xuân Tường, Distributor Manager of Futech Technology JSC.
 
Engineering Firm Equipped with FingerTec
PT SMOE Indonesia, one of the SembCorp Marine’s offshore engineering and construction facilities located in the Kabil Industrial Zone on Batam Island, Indonesia not very far off from Singapore. In their 39 years in business, the company has been catering to oil and gas companies in over 20 countries, offering a complete range of solutions to meet their production needs.
 
The company has recently adopted and implemented FingerTec fingerprint time and attendance solution. Workers and employees are required to scan their fingerprint for daily attendance. There have approximately 1,500 workers, of which 20% are SMOE workers and employees, and the rest being sub-contractor workers, and monitoring attendance for payroll purposes was becoming too tedious for them to keep up with prior to this. Following this, they sought our company’s services, SmartSys Solutions Pvt. Ltd. to propose a system that allows them to eliminate the amount of workload that was currently being carried out.

As a result, a total of 18 units of FingerTec TA100C were deployed in the three locations within the company premises, namely, the entrance of the two guard houses, as well as the building lobby. The system was also integrated with the time attendance management software, the TCMS V2 to centralize all the 18 units of devices, and the system went live in mid-May for the company to use. This project was initiated by SMOE Singapore and it achieves the goal of providing a high availability and low maintenance of a fingerprint time and attendance platform in the long run.

FingerTec Powered Up in the National Grid Corporation of Philippines
A fully private corporation, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, also known as NGCP, won the franchise to operate and maintain the country’s transmission network in the biggest government auction conducted in efforts to reform the local power sector. As the system operator of the power grid, NGCP balances the demand and supply of electricity to serve efficiently all of its customers such as generators, private distribution utilities, electric cooperatives, etc.

The NGCP recently had built a new substation, or as referred to in the industry as a “remote site”. This remote site contains newly developed buildings to be used as offices and for facilities to manage and operate their substation. All the controls, communication equipment and security devices are to be located in this building.

 
Therefore, SNCe Technology as a consultant of Nu Skin (Malaysia), recommended that they change their current system to FingerTec as firstly, all FingerTec models support the common and economical TCP/IP & USB connection with encrypted data log. Seven units of FingerTec Kadex card time attendance and access control system was successfully installed in their Klang branch (BBT) alone. In the near future, they will be installing FingerTec Kadex in all their branches and centralizing them to the headquarters via VPN, starting with the newest branch in Sibu, Sarawak.

Equipped with the TCMS V2, the management at Nu Skin Enterprises were satisfied with the quality of the product, the software, and the installation made by SNCe Technology’s team. SNCe Technology was a FingerTec’s resellers in Malaysia since last year, and is expanding fast with installations in several offices in the heart of KL, such as the recent one in NTP World Forum.

 
FingerTec Installed in Nu Skin Enterprises
Nu Skin Enterprises is a leading direct-selling company that distributes premium quality beauty products and services through three core brands — Nu Skin, Pharmanex, and Big Planet. The Nu Skin brand has a line of more than 100 premium skin treatment and other personal care products, and is available in over 40 countries worldwide.

NuSkin currently has 6 branches in Malaysia, of which only 3 branches were connected back to the headquarters in Kuala Lumpur with their existing access control system. As an expanding company that had recently launched another branch in the Klang region, the company needed to update their system, connecting all branches back to their headquarters. The problem arose, however, when their current access control system was not able to connect using the TCP/IP connection, hence increasing the cost of expanding the system. Nu Skin was also not very happy with the quality and support that was provided to them by the current system, as they had experienced many problems in the state branches of Melaka and Johor.

 
Already having a branch installed with access control and time attendance systems in Singapore, the NGCP approached our partner Eurogel, who then consulted us, Calvelo Engineered Systems, requesting and requested for a similar product for NGCP's new building. After some inquiry, we found that the FingerTec R2 will be suitable for the company, as it is even more advanced than the one installed by their branch in Singapore.

The company also required that the terminals be HID card compatible and that it comes with a comprehensive time attendance and access control software. After sealing the project, Calvelo Engineered Systems installed 32 units of R2 in the new building of the NGCP. As the areas secured by the R2 is of high security, all the R2 units were set to receive 2-3 methods for verification depending on the priority of the secured area.

And with the TCMS V2 software which allows extensive time attendance and access control customization and management, and also inter-branch centralization, a FingerTec system was just the solution for the NGCP.

Mauritius Commercial Bank Secured with H2i
Mauritius Commercial Bank (Maldives) also known as MCB Maldives, began its operation in Male on 4th May 2008. MCB Maldives aspires be the ideal banking and financial partner of corporate clients, regardless if they are already establish or just beginning. As the Maldavian economy continues in growth and development new branches are erected to serve the growing economy.

The Bank Manager of MCB Maldives wanted to change their previous security equipment, and after a brief research and explanation by our newest Maldivian reseller, Astech Maldives Pvt Ltd., they decided to go with FingerTec.

 
 
The installation took place on the ground floor where the vault is located, substituting the previous security unit they had. This new branch of MCB Maldives was installed with two units of Fingertec H2i terminals by our new Maldivian partner, Astech Maldives Pvt Ltd. They also had it equipped with bolt locks to secure it further and added exit buttons where necessary.

For now the terminals are only being used for Access Control as they have yet to install the TCMS V2 software as they are not monitoring the Time & Attendance of their employees.

Oman National Engineering Installed with TA200 Plus
The ONEIC or name Oman National Electric Co., was established in 1978. The company renamed itself and made several changes in keeping up with the diverse competitiveness of the current global business state of affairs. Therefore, it changed its former name to become Oman National Engineering and Investment Co. (SAOG). Since its initiation, the company has a record of steady growth development with an estimated 3000 professionally committed employees.

Recently Expert Software LLC, our reseller from Sultanate of Oman had the opportunity to undertake a project with Oman National Electric Co. to equip the company with fingerprint time and attendance devices.

 
 
ONEIC required a machine that will record time attendance for its estimated 3000 employees efficiently. After looking at the requirements of ONEIC offices the FingerTec TA200 Plus was strongly recommended as it is a high technology fingerprint time attendance that has additional features such as workcode definition and short messaging plus its simple shortcut keys make the terminal easy to operate.

At the moment, ONEIC has implemented the system in their billing department for the first stage of the installation. As time progresses, we will be installing 43 of these terminals in throughout their branches, and will look into implementing TimeTec, the web-based attendance software to help manage the data from the system.

 
Orchidia Pharma keeps attendance accurate with FingerTec
 
Started in 1993 as Orchidia Promotions, this pharmaceutical company has come far, serving as a the main agent for reputable healthcare giants such as Ciba Vision, Novartis Pharma, and Drossa Pharm in Egypt. After changing its name to Orchidia Pharma in 2003, the company has been also focusing on the ophthalmic sector of the industry in Egypt.

Now, after 20 years of development and expansion, Orchidia Pharma decided it was time to automate their Human Resources by implementing a time attendance device. Upon discovering FingerTec, the company approached its representative in the capital of Egypt, Technology Line, to acquire a system to manage and monitor their 400 workers.

In Kuwait the Royale Hayat Hospital adapts the artistic and also human approach in search of therapeutic features in terms of a hospital design. Each designated rooms of the Royale Hayat Hospital was installed with the voice-guided H2i reader to provide enhanced biometric security without the hassle of carrying access cards.

 
 
To better manage staff attendance, the hospital implemented the TA200 Plus time attendance system. The terminals were installed in several locations to enable the employees to check-in and out just by using their fingerprint and this automatically eradicates the use of time sheet filling. The TCMS V2 bundled software came in handy to automate data collection especially when it came to shift work.

After a month of implementing the system, the hospital had found that the system works efficiently to their purpose, and thanked us profusely in a letter addressed to Subway IT CO., and frankly, we couldn’t be happier with such a smooth implementation of the system.

 
Indonesia Installs FingerTec in OMNI Hospital Medical Centers
 
FingerTec has recently been gaining popularity in the healthcare industry, being installed in an Autism Centre in Kuwait, a Hospital in Pakistan, and now in the OMNI Hospital Medical Centers located in East Jakarta and Tangerang, Indonesia.

OMNI's Hospital Medical Center is one of most renowned private hospitals, providing for the needs of public health in Indonesia. It officially opened in 1972 as a sanatorium for the treatment of patients with mental illness and in 2001, changed its name from OMC to OMNI's Hospital Medical Centre, a private hospital that can meet all the needs of public health with the vision of becoming the leading hospital in the region which includes the provision of comprehensive health care with international management standards.

 
 
In order to enhance the security in the medical centre, OMNI Hospital decided to look into installing biometric devices for the two medical centers located in East Jakarta and Tangerang, Indonesia. It was then that they discovered and approached FingerTec’s partner in Indonesia since 2005, PT Retailindo, to install 16 units of FingerTec R2 along with access control facilities for securing their admin offices from access to any unauthorized personnel.

Local Chemical Company Supports FingerTec
KL-Kepong Oleomas, or also known as KLK Oleo, is a reputable international plantation group founded 100 years ago. Originally starting out in the rubber and chemical industry, KLK subsequently ventured into property development, and is involved in global retailing of premium personal care products, and fine foods through its wholly owned subsidiary, Crabtree & Evelyn, USA.

Previously using a card access control system, KLK approached Bumi Engineering & Consultancy Sdn. Bhd., FingerTec’s local reseller, to implement a fingerprint time and attendance system for their company’s administration benefit. FingerTec TA100 and TA100C was installed in the premises of KLK Oleo, including the Primary Guard House, the entrance for the contractors, and the HR Department for enrolling and registration. Starting with just 4 units at the initial stage, KLK Oleo will be expanding the system soon.

FingerTec Leads by Example with Dominos Pizza
Making an installation in a well-known location is beneficial for a company in more than one way, as Euro Jordan has experienced first hand.
 
 
Being in close contact with the management of the McDonalds franchise in Jordan, Dominos Pizza decided to follow suit and to install FingerTec devices in their premises as a time attendance solution, approaching our resellers from the Euro Jordan Trading Company for the proposed project.

“After meeting the general manager of Domino’s Pizza Mr. Osama Halaseh, he immediately signed us up for the project without any hesitation and started recommending the relevant staff that are to be trained in the system”, mentioned Jawad Yacoub, Sales & Account Manager of Euro Jordan Trading Company.

 
 
Now FingerTec TA100C units have been installed in 4 branches of Dominos Pizza around the capital city of Amman, with more nation-wide branches to be covered in the near future. Extensive training was conducted by Euro Jordan on how to use the terminals as well as the software TCMS V2 to process the data in the terminals.

With the system newly installed, Euro Jordan did a follow up on the pizza franchise a couple of weeks later only to receive positive reviews on how the system has helped the company to speed up the process of working hours calculation and also made staff management and centralization of data in their headquarters a much easier process. Applewood Installs Kadex in Shifa International Hospital
FingerTec’s partner in Pakistan, Applewood has successfully installed FingerTec card access control and time attendance system for the Shifa International Hospital.

Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad is one of most renowned health care center in Pakistan. It started its operations on 26 June 1993, but the construction began earlier once they acquired the 11 acres of land in 1987. Today the hospital is still expanding by constructing new blocks to add to the existing block A and Block-B.

 
 
With the concern of security in mind, they have opted to install FingerTec Kadex and i-Kadex along with access control for securing the state-of-the-art blood bank and different types of laboratories within the hospital. This is for the prevention of any unauthorized personnel accessing the laboratories and tainting and samples in the lab.

Due to the nature of the place, the installations had to be done at odd hours of the day because all the labs are located very close to the ICU & CCU. This step was taken to minimize the noise and disturbance toward the patients. The hospitals were cooperative enough to let us work late at night to complete the installations of the FingerTec terminals.

Now, the staff and personnel of the hospital can be more at ease and focus on their primary duties while FingerTec keeps their labs and blood banks secure.

 
Local Town Council Installs FingerTec
The east coast of Malaysia is known for its rich culture and breathtaking scenery. But slowly but surely, FingerTec is gaining popularity in the same region, being one of the preferred biometric time attendance brands preferred by governmental sectors.

Now, the local council of Dungun, located in the eastern state of Terrenganu, is fixed with FingerTec TA100CR to monitor and keep track of the council’s staff attendance.

The council has a headcount of about 200 staff, and keeping track of the attendance and hours worked by each of the staff was proving to be a challenge to the administrative department. This is why they chose to use a fingerprint device, as it is easy to implement, and doesn’t require much adjustments from the staff – all you need to do is verify your fingerprint once everytime you go in or out of the workplace. The council then approached our dealer in the east coast, Dynasty IT Services Sdn Bhd to sort the rest out.

 
 
The council also expressed its satisfaction toward the complimentary software that comes with the product, the TCMS V2, as it automates more than half the work that previously needed to be done manually.

FingerTec Keeping Track of Musicians
FingerTec’s partner in El Salvador, Grupo Ejje has successfully implemented FingerTec time attendance system control for the Orquesta Sinfonica Juvenil (OSJ), or translated as the Junior Symphony Orchestra in El Salvador.

The OSJ is a non-governmental organization whose mission is to train youth leaders to be socially aware through musical excellence and orchestral practice, thus keeping their focus away from situations that involve violence and social risk, and providing a space for cohesion, co-existence, and social includion.

Recently the OSJ approached Grupo Ejje with the requirement of installing a time attendance system that allows them to control the assistance of the staff in their facilities as well as records the attendance at the areas where the young musicians belonging to the OSJ give their concerts. Due to the nature of the events, they chose the FingerTec TA300 for its portability and convenience for locating the terminal in any of the halls or rooms.

The ease to control attendance of administrative personnel in their facilities as well as musicians in other places where rehearsals and concerts are done.

Metal Paint Products Uses FingerTec!
Metal Paint Products Pvt. Ltd. (MPPL) is famous for its paint products in Pakistan, constantly manufactured as per international standards and passed through stringent quality control tests at various levels of production before marketing.MPPL has 8 different branches located at different places in the twin city of Islamabad/Rawalpindi in Pakistan, with an established data network available for the purpose of connecting all the different branches of the company.

The company then contacted Clout Technologies, in dire need of an attendance monitoring system for their 1300 staff, which are constantly on the go. Logging in manual attendance records on the register was not working out for the company, because their employees job scope requires them to work at multiple locations in a typical day. For example, an employee working at the Admin department might have to visit the factory from 9am - 12am. The management explained that what they needed was a system that could track the employees in every location, store, or factory owned by the company.

 
 
After considering their needs, we recommended MPPL to implement the FingerTec AC900 fingerprint system. 10 units of the device was installed in the various locations and branches owned by the company, and was connected to the TCMS V2 software via a TCP/IP connection. The already existing data network in the company made centralizing the terminals a much easier job. However we still had one more task at hand. We needed to integrate the attendance recotds with the existing system in the company, called the MIS (Management Information System). To perform the integration, we developed a script which loads data from the FPTAUDIT.DBF file (Present in TCMS installed folder) to the oracle database and further on to the company’s MIS system.

As usual, with FingerTec we don’t only provide an excellent attendance system, but we also offer a support system with constant software and hardware updates. In the end, the client was pleased with the system’s reliability and the ease of using the software as well as the smooth integration to their existing system. With the headquarters located in Singapore, the Malaysia branch still has a fair number of employees, amounting to over 2000 personnel. Prior to approaching FingerTec’s reseller, Nexus Professional Sdn. Bhd. (NexPro in short), the company was using a barcode reader to record their staff’s movement and attendance, however, they faced issues of employees recording the attendance for their colleagues, or what we refer to as “buddy punching”.

 
 
After performing a brief online research on biometric products that can be used in their workplace, the company chose devices from the FingerTec brand. The TA103R is installed all over the office for time attendance purposes, while FingerTec R2 was installed in the main entrance and other areas that needs door access restrictions. The company also integrated a FingerTec OFIS scanner which connects to a PC and acts as an enrolling station for the fingerprints.
 
 
Although the employees of Venture Electronics were resistant to using the new and novel system at first, it took just a couple of hours of NexPro’s training and getting to know the system to convert the perception of the employees. With their new system, Venture Electronics can now track the movement of their staff as well as visitors that come in to the premises.
